Luck Silver Sixpence - Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe. The sixpence coin has long been associated with bringing good luck to the bride and groom; the contemporary interpretation of this wedding tradition is for the bride -  or her father - to place the coin in her left shoe as a lucky charm to bring financial prosperity to the newlyweds. Our coins are genuine circulated sixpences and therefore can also be used as your traditional 'Something Old'! Each sixpence has been cleaned and polished by hand; and are beautifully presented in a luxurious keepsake box complete with the traditional wedding poem which is inscribed in the lid of the keepsake box, and sealed with a blue bow.
